Statement of Faith
MISSION
Our Mission is to lead people to Christ and into covenant relationship with this body of believers, to develop them into mature Christians, to equip and mobilize them to ministry in the church and in their witness to the world, thereby, to exalt the name of the Lord.
Vision
Our Vision is of a place where the lost, the hurting, the depressed, the frustrated, the confused can find love, acceptance, help, hope forgiveness, guidance and encouragement.
Our Vision is of sharing the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the lost all over the world, offering them the hope of salvation, healing and liberty in Christ.
Our Vision is of ministering to the total person, spiritually, emotionally, physically and socially. In order to do this we will establish and maintain facilities nationally and internationally, which will feature worship centers, counseling and prayer centers, a college with multiple campuses for training and preparing lay ministers, and offices for social service outreach to communities where they are needed.
Our Vision is of receiving 100 churches into covenant relationship with this body of believers, with people who will love each other, learn with and from each other, share their laughter, tears, fears and concerns, as well as living in harmony and fellowship with each other.
Our Vision is of leading each believer to spiritual maturity, through Bible studies, small groups, seminars, retreats and a Bible School for members of the Fountain and others.
Our Vision is of equipping each member for a ministry to which they have been called by God, by assisting them in the discovery of their God – given gifts and talents.
Our Vision is of empowering every believer for a personal life mission in the world, to send mature and anointed members into the mission field to touch the world with the love of the Lord, to send members of Fountain of Life International on short – term mission projects to every continent. It is also our vision to plant at least one daughter church every year.
Statement of Faith
We believe and teach that there is one God, Creator of all things, Who is infinitely perfect, existing eternally in three manifestations: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe and teach Jesus Christ to be truly God and truly man. He was conceived by the virgin Mary through the Holy Spirit. He died on the cross, and all who believe in Him are justified on the grounds of His shed blood. He arose from the dead on the third day and is now seated at the right hand of the Father, making intercession for us as our Great High Priest. (I Corinthians 15:3, 4; Romans 8:26, 27, 34; Hebrews 7:25)
We believe and teach that the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God sent to indwell, guide, teach and empower the believer, (Acts 1:8) and to convict the world of sin, of righteousness and of judgment. (John 16:8)
We believe and teach that all men are born with a sinful nature, are separated from the life of God, and those who repent and believe in Christ Jesus are born again of the Holy Spirit, receive the gift of eternal life, and become the children of God. (John 3:16; John 7:37; Romans 10:9, 10)
We believe and teach that each born again believer should be baptized in water by immersion, typifying burial with Christ. Since baptism identifies us with the death, burial and resurrection of Christ, (Romans 6:1 – 4) we believe that it should be administered in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. It is the first act of sanctification, and therefore, no believer should be without it. (Matthew 28:19; Mark 16:16; Luke 24:47 Acts 2:38)
We believe and teach that it is the will of God that each believer be filled with the Holy Spirit, being separated from sin and the world and fully dedicated to the Kingdom of God, thereby receiving power for effective service. We further believe that the baptism of the Holy Spirit is a separate experience from eternal salvation. (John 3:3, 5; 7:37, 38; Luke 24:49; Acts 1:8)
We believe and teach that prayer for the sick and anointing with oil are privileges for the Church in this present age as taught in the Scriptures. We believe that salvation, deliverance, and divine healing are contained in the atonement. (James 5:14, 15; Isaiah 53:4, 5)
We believe and teach that the Church consists of all those who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, are redeemed through His blood, and are born again of the Holy Spirit. (John 3:16) Christ is the Head of the Body, the Church, which has been commissioned by Him to go into all the world as a witness, preaching the Gospel to all nations. (Mark 16:16; Matthew 28:19)
We believe and teach that the local Church is a body of believers in Christ who are joined together for the worship of God, for edification through the Word of God, for prayer, fellowship, the proclamation of the Gospel, and observance of the ordinances of the Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. (Acts 2:42-47)
We believe and teach that the second coming of the Lord Jesus is imminent and will be personal and visible. This is the believer’s blessed hope and is a vital truth which is an incentive to holy living and faithful service. (I Corinthians 15: 51 – 58; I Thessalonians 4:16,17)
